The Indonesian film industry continues to grow as an important part of the nation’s cultural and creative economy. The Ministry of Culture is committed to strengthening the national film ecosystem through talent development and industry networks.
Since 2021, Jakarta Film Week has served as a space for filmmakers, communities, industry professionals, and audiences to meet, exchange ideas, build networks, and expand access to the national and international film ecosystem.
Entering its sixth edition, JFW 2026 carries the theme “Encounters”, celebrating encounters and collaboration within the film ecosystem. JFW serves as a hub and trajectory for developing filmmakers’ capacities while strengthening connections with international film festivals.
May JFW continue to strengthen Indonesia’s film ecosystem and create opportunities for the emergence of new talents.
