Jakarta Film Fund

Program Description

A short filmmaking competition that provides production, technical, and training support for the three selected proposals. Each participant received a production fund and other support such as mentors, workshops (writing, directing, editing), and film editing facilities. The five films produced will be screened at the Jakarta Film Week and the best will win the Jakarta Film Fund Award.

Bukan Anak Meriam
A husband and wife named Mer and Ian have been wanting a baby for a long time. They travel to Jakarta - Kota Tua to perform a ritual that is believed to bring good things, namely expecting a baby.

Nehemia Pareang
Nehemia Pareang graduated from the Faculty of Film and Television, Jakarta Arts Institute. He won the Best Short Movie at FFPPKI 2017 with the title Narration Elder. In addition, his latest short film work titled Sore Ibu, Aku Pulang won second place in the Vivo X70Pro short film competition 2021.
Pesan(an) Terakhir
Marzuki, a young middle class managing an old restaurant business for generations named Roemah Serodja located in Central Jakarta, is trying to promote the place after almost going bankrupt due to rumors spread by the public. They speculate that the place is haunted. In order to find a solution, he turns the tragedy into a gimmick by turning the place into an antique restaurant themed 'colonial ghosts.' Marzuki's breakthrough indeed brings temporary benefits, but Ismail, Marzuki's father who has just returned home after a long time to visit his restaurant that was handed over to Marzuki opposes the idea.

Hariz Soeoed
With more than 7 years of experience in the videography and commercial video industry, Hariz Soeoed has always pursued his passion as a visual storyteller. He currently works on commercial videos at a production company he founded (Future Play). Because of his love for TV series and cinema, apart from working on commercial videos, he uses his spare time to write short films that he wants to produce himself someday. To study film discipline because he had no prior academic degree in that field, he took acting classes at Bengkel Karya Kuma, screenwriting classes at Wahana Edukasi and Sinema 5. In 2012, he won the AMD Rising Star competition and received the 1st Prize for the Motion Graphic category. In 2020, his short film “Dua Sisi” won the Silver Best award at the Telkomsel x Urbanasia Video Competition and had the opportunity to stream it on Maxstream.tv.
Sunat Racing
Being the middle child between high achieving brother and sister has made Raden try to find something his father who idolizes Jokowi, the president of Indonesia, would acknowledge. Until there is a bicycle competition and a meet and greet with Jokowi. Raden feels that would be the perfect opportunity to please and get his father's attention. When he asks his father to buy a racing bicycle, he has him circumcised instead. However, Raden still decides to keep participating in the bicycle race while recovering.

Netanya Yemima
Netanya Yemima was born on 10 April 1999 in Tangerang. Over the past few years, she has focused on studying film directing and screenwriting. Netanya is a graduate of Multimedia Nusantara University. The last short film she wrote and directed, 'Rumah Kuta Kita, has been screened at various festivals and screening events in Indonesia and was selected as the jury's best film at the 2021 Short Semester by the Film Collective.


Andhika Permata
Andhika Permata, S. STP, M.SI, Head of the Jakarta Provincial Tourism and Creative Economy Office, was born in Jakarta in 1976. He obtained his Master's degree in Administration from the Domestic Government College. Prior to his current position, he was Head of the Division of Domestic Cooperation and Facilitation of the Diplomatic Corps. In addition to his formal education, he also took several informal educations such as Tourism and Hospitality Management - Cultural Partnership Initiative Korea Culture and Tourism Institute, Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Korea in Seoul and World Tourism Cities Federation in Beijing China.
Gita Fara
Gita Fara is a seasoned film producer who started her career as a Line Producer for Mirror Never Lies (2011) by Kamila Andini. She made her debut as a producer in Garin Nugroho's film Nyai (2016). After that, he became a producer of films such as Sekala Niskala: The Seen and Unseen (2017) which won the Grand Prix Award in the Generation Kplus Program at the 2018 Berlin International Film Festival, and most recently, a feature-length documentary entitled The Flame (2021).
Sammaria Simanjuntak
Sammaria Simanjuntak is a director, screenwriter, and producer. In 2009, Sammaria released her first feature-length film, Cin (T)a, which was nominated for Best Original Screenplay at the 2009 Indonesian Film Festival for this film. A year later she directed the documentary film Five Minutes Of Fame, which is part of the Working Girls anthology and was released in theaters in June 2011. In 2011, Sammaria produced Demi Ucok which won the award as Best Indonesian Film by Tempo Magazine. Her latest film is Guru-guru Gokil which was released in 2020 on Netflix.
Bayu Prihantoro
Bayu Prihantoro is a cinematographer, screenwriter, and director. His first short film as a director On the Origin of Fear competed at the 2016 Venice International Film Festival and was awarded the Special Mention Award at the 2016 Singapore International Film Festival. Several films in which he was involved as a cinematographer include Vakansi yang Janggal dan Penyakit Lainnya ( 2012), Istirahatlah Kata-kata (2016), and Humba Dreams (2019). Bayu is currently developing his first feature-length film project, The Songsmith.
Titis Sapto
Titis Sapto is a director, producer, and screenwriter of short films and web series based in Jakarta. He began his career as a producer in a short film Taxi (2011) that was screened at the Indonesian Fantastic Film Festival 2011. In addition, Titis also founded Flick Magazine, a news portal that focuses on providing the latest information about the world of cinema. Titis also has experience as a marketing director for the film project Tabula Rasa (2014). Currently, he lectures at the Film Study Program at Binus University.
Nurita Anandia
Nurita Anandia is a creative and independent film producer, as well as a project manager and screenwriter with more than five years of experience. She has expertise in leading the filmmaking process. In addition, she is also used to managing film projects that are in line with the company's goals and vision to create memorable experiences for the audience.
Andy Pulung
Andhy Pulung is an editor who graduated from the Jakarta Arts Institute. He started his career as a director of photography for documentaries. The films he has worked on include: Opera Jawa (2006), Nyai (2016), Istirahatlah Kata-Kata (2016), and Rumah Merah Putih (2019). In 2011, he had the opportunity to direct his first feature-length film, Keumala.
Irfan Ramli
An Indonesian film director and screenwriter. He made his debut as a screenwriter through the film Cahaya dari Timur: Beta Maluku in 2012, winning the Citra Award for the Best Film Category at the 2012 Indonesian Film Festival. In the following years, he wrote several screenplays, such as Surat dari Prague (2016), Filosofi Kopi the Movie: Ben & Jody (2017), and Love for Sale (2018). Irfan Ramli made his directorial debut in the film Generasi 90: Melankolia (2020).
