JFW Net

Producers Lab is a capacity-building program from Jakarta Film Week, aimed at developing young producers’ talents in production planning, financing, presentation, and exploring project collaboration both regionally and internationally. Alumni of the JFW Producers Lab are expected to become more competent and competitive in the Asian and global film industries.

One of the 2022 Producers Lab alumni, Janice Angelica, was selected for the GOEDAM Campus program at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival and presented her project at the Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM) Busan International Film Festival 2023, where she won the Bucheon Award.

Producers Lab is led by mentor Yulia Evina Bhara, known for her film Autobiography, which won the Fipresci Prize at the Venice International Film Festival 2022, earned 7 nominations at the Festival Film Indonesia 2022, and represented Indonesia at the 2024 Oscars. In 2022, Yulia collaborated with Alemberg, and in 2023 with Armi Rae Cacanindin. This year, Yulia will once again collaborate with Tan Si En, the producer of Don’t Cry Butterfly, which won the Most Innovative Film award at the Venice International Film Festival 2024. This marks their second year collaborating as mentors in the Producers Lab.
