Amanda Nell Eu

Amanda Nell Eu is a filmmaker based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Her debut feature TIGER STRIPES was the Grand Prize winner of Critic’s Week in the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. The film was also the official Malaysian submission for the Academy Awards that year. Amanda is an alumna of Berlinale Talents, Tokyo Talents and Locarno Filmmakers Academy. Her short films have won awards and played in various international film festivals including, Venice, Locarno, and Clermont-Ferrand.
Kamila Andini

Kamila Andini

Kamila Andini is an Indonesian film director and screenwriter whose works span film, theatre, visual art, television, and other audio-visual media. Deeply driven by themes of social culture, gender equity, and environmental awareness, her storytelling reflects a distinctive and empathetic voice. Her debut feature The Mirror Never Lies (2011) traveled to over 50 international festivals and won numerous awards, followed by The Seen and Unseen (2017), which won the Grand Prix at Berlinale Generation Kplus and was later adapted into a dance-theatre performance. Her subsequent films, Yuni (2021), winner of the TIFF Platform Grand Prix, and Before, Now & Then (2022), winner of the Silver Bear at Berlinale, further established her international presence. In 2023, she directed Cigarette Girl, Indonesia’s first Netflix original series, and was invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). She is currently completing her next feature, Four Seasons in Java.
Adrian Jonathan

Adrian Jonathan

Adrian Jonathan Pasaribu is the chief editor and co-founder of Cinema Poetica—a collective of film critics, activists, and researchers in Indonesia. His writings have been featured in a number of national and international outlets, such as Kompas, Tempo, The Jakarta Post, Berlinale Talents, and The Criterion Collection. He also frequently organizes community screenings and has curated for several film festivals, including Festival Film Dokumenter, Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival, and Singapore International Film Festival. In 2020, as part of Cinema Poetica, Adrian and friends published Antarkota Antarlayar: Potret Komunitas Film di Indonesia (Between Cities and Screens: Film Communities in Indonesia) with the support of Jakarta Arts Council. Having earned a Master’s degree in Film Studies from Universiteit van Amsterdam in 2023, Adrian nowadays works as a curator for Jakarta Film Week and a researcher for Arts Equator’s Southeast Asia Artistic Freedom RADAR.
Primrin Puarat
Producer, Manager of Purin Pictures

Primrin Puarat

Primrin Puarat is the manager of Purin Pictures, a film fund supporting Southeast Asian cinema. For the past seven years, she has worked closely with Aditya Assarat and Anocha Suwichakornpong, developing a strong curatorial perspective and a deep understanding of the regional film landscape. She is also a documentary filmmaker whose work explores human rights and environmental issues. Her short Mountain of Trash (2020) received an Honorable Mention at the IF/Then Global Shorts Pitch at IDFA 2019. Most recently, The Cost of Freedom won Best International Short Documentary at the Chain NYC Film Festival in 2023. Primrin is an alumna of the American Film Showcase, Berlinale Talents (Doc Station), Talents Tokyo, Docs by the Sea, Southeast Asian Film Lab, and Asiadoc. She is currently developing her first feature documentary, A Journey to the Universe, which received the Cannes Docs – Marché du Film Award at Ji.hlava 2024.
