Dara (13) lives with her grandmother (75) who has a hearing problem, and her uncle Aman (35). She becomes self-conscious about her growing breasts and tries to hide them with a traditional corset. However, relentless teasing from male peers about her changing body makes Dara uncomfortable. Determined to understand her femininity, Dara buys her first bra and begins a journey of self-discovery as a young girl coming into womanhood.
Reni Apriliana is a filmmaker and a graduate of the Television and Film program at the ISI Surakarta. She began producing short films in 2019; her short fiction 'Telur Setengah Matang' was nominated for the 2021 Vidsee Jury Award. In 2021, she produced the short film Rasa(h), which was selected among the chosen Layar Indonesiana projects. In 2023, she directed the short fiction film 'Um{breast}ella' and the documentary 'Ludruk: Dahulu, Kini, dan Nanti', both of which received nominations for Best Short Fiction and Best Short Documentary at the Citra Awards. She is currently active with the Kembang Gula Foundation, contributing to the development of the film ecosystem in Solo.
