Santi (18), a vocational high school graduate, had faced rejection after rejection in her search for work. One day, a glimmer of hope arrived, she passed the initial screening and was invited for an interview. But before she could step out the door, her mother (40) piled up a mountain of laundry, burdening Santi with housework as if deliberately trying to keep her from going.
Alam Alghifari, from Sleman, is currently a student at ISI Yogyakarta. Since vocational high school, he has been actively creating fiction and documentary short films with his peers. For Alam, film is a medium to express reality in unique ways that can have both direct and indirect impacts on human life. This passion drives him to continually develop his interest, which he now regards as a talent in progress.
