At midnight on a desolate street, an unexpected passenger disturbs the driver’s break time. On the way to the destination, the navigation keeps reporting the wrong direction, and the passenger remains silent while the driver asks for the right direction. It seems like the stranger passenger has other purposes to get in the taxi.
Hsia Jui-Chien is a Taiwanese filmmaker who attempts to create cross-genres movies, especially black humor and comedy. His film "Break Out" was shortlisted for Golden Bell Awards and Golden Harvest Awards. His film "Unexpected Passenger" was selected in Sundance Asia Film Festival and won the Jury Prize at the 2023 CinemaSHORT Asian ShortFilm Competition.
