Two Madrasah schoolgirls, Layla (14) and Ana (14), skip class and slip away to a lonely spot overlooking the sea. As waves crash below, Layla makes a daring request: a photo without her hijab. Ana freezes, aware that if the image escapes, the fallout could be devastating. Between loyalty and danger, one click could shatter everything.
Mauliya Malia began her career with her debut short film, Distraction From Heaven (2021). Her second film, Babad Wingking Griya (2022), won Best Fiction Short Film at the Sumedang Short Film Festival, was selected for the Indonesia Raja Minikino program representing Central Java, and screened at the Purbalingga Film Festival Layar Tanjleb. Her third film, Loenpia Asri (2023), is currently in distribution. Mauliya has interned multiple times as a 3rd Assistant Director on films and series, and is currently active in short film production and assistant directing in the industry.
