Neo Sora is a filmmaker, artist, and translator based between Tokyo and New York. He has directed, shot, and produced narrative shorts, documentaries, music videos, fashion spots, and a concert film. His short The Chicken, adapted from Naoya Shiga, premiered at Locarno 2020, screened at the New York Film Festival, and was featured in Variety and Cahiers du Cinéma. Named one of Filmmaker Magazine’s “25 New Faces of Independent Film,” Neo was also a 2022 Sundance Screenwriters and Directors Lab fellow. His debut fiction feature, Happyend, premiered at the 2024 Venice International Film Festival and continues to screen at festivals worldwide.
