Ever since her father’s sudden death by the Ciliwung River, Aci and her mother’s lives changed forever. Convincing herself the Ciliwung Spirit killed him, Aci vows revenge. Yet, her mother repeatedly insists asthma was the cause. Exhausted by Aci’s escalating terror, her mother recklessly summons the entity, triggering an inevitable clash.
David Darmadi, a 2014 Television and Film graduate from ISI Padangpanjang, completed a personal project between 2016–2018, producing 23 short daily documentaries. Among them, Busy Bridge screened at FFD and Arkipel. His documentary Diary of Cattle won the 2018 IF/THEN Award, premiered at Visions du Réel 2019, and screened at over 60 international film festivals.
