In 2014, at the height of the Ukrainian revolution, a mother lost her son who was killed while protesting in Independence Square. Her attempt to bury him as a hero clashes with a corrupt bureaucratic system, testing her view of Ukraine.
Masha Novikova is a Ukrainian writer and director. She holds a degree with distinction in Fine Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and an MA in Filmmaking from the London Film School. Her graduation short film "Glorious Revolution" (2021) won 3rd prize in the La Cinef section at the 75th Cannes Film Festival.
