Ruth, a 25-year-old, has put her life on hold to care for her mother, Cassandra, who is battling dementia. Once a pianist herself, Cassandra was the person who taught Ruth to play. Ruth now finds herself patiently reteaching her mother to play in hopes of rekindling her memories.
Ephraim Ryan Pranata and Aurellia Michelle Nugroho are film and video directors based in Jakarta and Chicago, respectively. Ephraim has directed award-winning fiction films and video content for various companies and organizations. Michelle is currently a first-year Film and Television student at DePaul University. Their recent film, Diminuendo, received the People’s Choice Award at UCIFEST 2025 and Best Student Film at the Athens Film Festival, with additional screenings at 100 Persen Manusia, Sewon Screening, and the Jecheon International Music and Film Festival.
