A retired saronèn artist who sells homemade wine’s last will is to bathe his corpse with wine and be accompanied by the saronèn beats when he is bathed until taken to the grave. He also asks that his son’s cow be slaughtered to celebrate his death. His wife refused to carry out the will. The kiai’s Kedikram also argues that such will contradicts the tradition and the Shari’a.

Ahmad Faiz is a student in the Master's Program in Film & Television at the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Surakarta. One of his films is Annuqayah: Menuju Teater Pesantren (2019). He was nominated for the best short film at the 2020 Malang Film Festival. He is currently active in introducing cinema in his region by establishing SINEMADURA as an alternative screening platform.
