Day four of Jakarta Film Week 2024 at CGV Grand Indonesia concluded beautifully with the screening of Wings of Desire, one of the most influential classics in German cinema history.

The screening of this deeply philosophical film, which began at 8:15 PM WIB, did not dampen the enthusiasm of attendees eager to experience this black-and-white masterpiece, which invites viewers to reflect on the essence of human existence.

Being an angel means Damiel is unable to experience real human emotions—happiness, love, or even pain. He longs for a more tangible, human experience. The question then arises: why would an angel desire to feel what humans feel, when humans themselves often wish to escape the emotional turmoil within?
