Jakarta Film Week 2026 Introduces JFW360, Expanding the Way Audiences Experience Cinema

Jakarta, September 3, 2026 — As it enters its sixth year, Jakarta Film Week (JFW) is introducing a new pre-festival initiative, JFW360, a program designed to explore different ways for audiences to engage with cinema beyond traditional film screenings.

Through JFW360, film becomes a meeting point for different forms of creativity and knowledge, connecting cinema with disciplines such as art, science, technology, communities, and other creative fields. The program will feature a combination of screenings and non-screening activities, creating opportunities for audiences to watch, discuss, and experience film in new contexts.

The JFW360 series leading up to Jakarta Film Week 2026 officially began with JFW360: Cerdas Cermat Jilid 2, a collaboration with Kopikina and Cretivox. Held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Kopikina Kemang, the event brought together audiences, media representatives, and communities for an interactive film-themed quiz and knowledge-sharing session.

“JFW360 is our way of bringing Jakarta Film Week into more screening spaces and public spaces. Through more exploratory collaborations, we want to create film-related experiences that can be enjoyed by a wider audience, while supporting Jakarta’s vision as a City of Cinema,” said Rina Damayanti, Festival Director of Jakarta Film Week 2026.

Following Cerdas Cermat Jilid 2, JFW360 will continue throughout September and October 2026 through a series of collaborations across platforms and communities. In collaboration with Vidio, JFW360 will present 24 short films that audiences can watch online through Vidio.com.

The program will also feature collaborations with the Embassy of Peru in Indonesia and Jakarta International Investment, Tourism, Trade, and SME’s Expo (JITEX). Further partnerships with media outlets and communities across Jakarta will also form part of the JFW360 program.

Details on upcoming programs and schedules will be announced periodically through Jakarta Film Week’s official social media channels and website.

“JFW360 gives us the opportunity to experiment with broader formats and collaborations. We want to explore how film can exist in different contexts and connect with audiences from increasingly diverse backgrounds,” said Gayatri Nadya, Festival Manager of Jakarta Film Week 2026.

As part of the JFW360 series at Kopikina, Jakarta Film Week also collaborated with media partners and film communities across Jakarta. On the occasion, JFW unveiled one of the film line-ups for Jakarta Film Week 2026, Erupcja (2026), directed by Pete Ohs and starring Charli XCX, Lena Gora, Jeremy Harris, and Will Madden. The film previously had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in September 2025.
