Raha, a young Iranian woman is detained inside a rigid and unforgiving prison system, accused of a crime she did not commit. Pressured by an authoritarian officer to sign a fabricated confession, she faces escalating threats, isolation, and psychological torment. As the system closes in and the cost of resistance grows heavier each day, she must decide whether to surrender to a lie that could save her life or hold on to the truth and risk an irreversible fate.
Mohammad Mozafari is an Iranian film director, producer, and founder of Roudan Pictures. Born in Doha, Qatar, in 1989, he moved to Southeast Asia in 2011 to pursue his studies. After meeting filmmakers in the region, he began his cinematic career in 2016. He directed and produced his debut short film, Journey to the Darkness, in collaboration with an Indonesian production company, which also marked the establishment of Roudan Pictures. Following the film’s selection at international festivals worldwide, he continued working in independent cinema, producing short films and a feature film. He has also served as a jury member at several film festivals. Now based in Paris, his latest short film project, PULANG, is set in Indonesia.
