Animation, Education, Child's Point of View
Those who don’t know the Sahara believe that there is only sand in the desert. But here there are kids who play and make movies, just like this: it tells the story of the last European colony in Africa, Western Sahara, and that of thousands of Saharawi refugees living in exile.
Emilio Martí (Valencia, 1978) produces and directs experimental films that strive for social change and Human Rights. Among these are "UNANIMATED" (2011, a comedy about the fear of being “real”) and the animated documentaries "MARHABA" (2016), "MAKUN - Drawings in an Immigrant Detention Center" (2019) and "LITTLE SAHARA" (2023).
