During the second wave of COVID in Yangon, a lonely middle-aged woman Ma has just lost her job as a kitchen helper in a restaurant. However, the day takes an exciting turn when her younger, attractive co-worker agrees to meet her later. She is waiting for him in her room with much excitement.
Sein Lyan is an emerging filmmaker from Myanmar, and his documentary work Unsilent Potato is well recognized in Myanmar and Southeast Asia. Since 2015 he has made short films and documentaries for NHK TV. His short film An Ordinary Marriage was screened as the European premiere at the Short Wave International Film Festival, Poland in 2018. His latest short film Late Blooming In A Lonely Summer Day world premiered at Kurzfilmtage in 2021. He is working on his first feature film The Beer Girl in Yangon.
