Andrew KOSE is a film writer/director who has made short films across Jakarta, Singapore, Bangkok and Melbourne. His short films have travelled both international and local film festivals such as: the 25th International Short Film Week Regensburg (Germany), SEA Shorts Film Festival (Malaysia), Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival (Indonesia), Festival Film Indonesia (Piala Citra) and a few more. Filmmaking is Andrew’s way of communicating with the world. For him, a film should give voice to marginalised people and communities. He believes that the most powerful stories are those that are relatable in a universal way, yet is culturally specific at the same time. Andrew takes inspiration from ordinary people around him in the subtle yet complex stories of urban life in Jakarta. Andrew works as a freelance director, scriptwriter and sometimes a photographer, for a diverse set of clients.
