In 1994 Singapore, seven-year-old Ah Girl lives with her sister, easygoing father, and irritable grandmother following her parents’ separation. When her unreliable mother drunkenly asks her to move in, Ah Girl’s world is upended. Facing a difficult choice, she becomes painfully aware of her family’s dysfunctional reality.

An NTU film graduate and Busan Asian Film Academy alumna, her award-winning shorts—including 'Broken Crayon' and 'Three Little Pigs'—built toward her debut feature 'Ah Girl', which draws deeply on her own childhood.
