Sam KUWA is an animation director based in Tokyo. He graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts. His work combines hand-drawn and VR techniques, exploring memory, perception, and personal experience. His animation film, So He Grabbed the Knife, received the Best Student Film – Dušan Vukotić Award at Animafest Zagreb 2026.
