children, family, friendship, self-discovery
Agus comes from a modest family. His father works at a tofu factory, while his mother makes excellent tahu bacem. One day, his teacher asks the class to write about their dreams. His classmates have “big” ambitions. Sri dreams of becoming a famous actress and insists on being called Mey because “Sri” doesn’t sell. Jono wants to be a soldier and constantly acts like a leader. Puji claims she wants to make others happy, but secretly craves praise and gratitude. Agus, however, has only one dream: to eat at a Padang restaurant. Since he eats tahu bacem every day, his simple dream becomes the joke of the class.
