A child dreams of flying and school. His loving mom believes in him, but his stubborn father sends him to the mill. Nature and the child’s dream slowly metamorphose his father’s heart. Wings is a 2D hand-painted gouache animation; its raw brushstrokes and textures reflect emotional depth, making each frame a meditative act of healing.
Dhivahar Muthuveeran is an Indian filmmaker studying at the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkata, India. He directed Wings, a classical 2D animated short created on paper using the gouache painting technique. Former President of the SRFTI Student Union (2025), his cinematic language is poetic in nature, exploring themes of hope, liberation, and love through visual storytelling.
