By September 2025, local films have attracted more than 60 million viewers in movie theaters, surpassing imported films, which attracted 35 million viewers. This significant achievement not only highlights the growing success of Indonesian cinema but also makes us proud to support our local film industry, which is winning the hearts of audiences at home and gaining global recognition through its growing presence at international film festivals, including Busan International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.

As part of its mission to advance culture, the Ministry of Culture, through the Directorate General of Cultural Development, Utilization, and Empowerment, is committed to nurturing a stronger national film ecosystem. One of its initiatives is the National Talent Management for Arts and Culture (MTN Seni Budaya), which supports the JFW NET–Industry Program—a strategic platform designed to connect and empower the film industry on both national and international levels. The program features Producers Lab, Pitching Forum, MTN Lab, Masterclass, Producers Network, Industry Talks, Festival Meeting, and Talents Hub, all of which provide space for emerging filmmakers to learn, collaborate, and grow their creative potential.

Through MTN Seni Budaya, this national priority program seeks to identify, develop, and promote Indonesian cultural talents in a structured and sustainable way, bridging them with opportunities for capacity building and market access, both locally and globally.
Since its debut in 2021, Jakarta Film Week has evolved into a vibrant meeting point for filmmakers, film lovers, and creative communities to exchange ideas, share inspiration, and celebrate film as a cultural medium. More importantly, it reaffirms Jakarta’s place as a globally connected hub of film and creativity, promoting cultural storytelling that inspires and connects us to our rich cultural roots.
As we celebrate Jakarta Film Week 2025, may this festival spark the birth of new stories.
