We, the film audience, are active subjects in the film industry. We are not just statistics of ticket sales. We have and can continue to, actively protest against disturbing film narratives, reject detrimental representations of marginalized communities, and demand a healthy and safe working environment for production crews. Moderated by Avicenna Raksa Santana (Cinema Poetica), we will have a discussion with Nissi Taruli Felicia (Deaf activist), Permata Adinda (Project Multatuli journalist), and Runi Arumndari (film ‘addict’) to reflect on and celebrate the diverse voices of the audience, as well as explore possible issues that we want to advocate for in the future.
