PROGRAM JFW NET
The DKI Jakarta government aims to make Jakarta a film-friendly city. This can be achieved globally if the filming process in Jakarta is facilitated through film commision. Thus, the Film Committee of the Jakarta Arts Council recognizes the necessity of establishing the Jakarta Film Commission, which will have the institutional authority needed to streamline the bureaucratic and logistical processes that local and international filmmakers may encounter. In this forum, we will explore the experiences and learnings of film commissions from other countries and cities. This will become the basis in forming Jakarta Film Council and as the hub of collaboration and production for the film industry stakeholders in Jakarta, across ASEAN, and Asia.
This session is part of the series of the 2024 ASEAN Regional Workshop on Creative Economy (ARWCE), organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the ASEAN Secretariat to advance the film industry in the ASEAN region. This session is also organized in partnership with the Jakarta Arts Council.
