A meditative symphony on the city and death. The filmmaker returns to places where he, 18 years earlier, had made a film about suicide. Now, in the crowded streets of Tehran and in the city’s rundown corners with flanked walls, he searches for the reasons that had led three sisters to end their lives together.
Iman is a Berlinale Talents 2020 alumnus. "Three Sisters" premiered at the Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival and was awarded a Special Mention by the jury of the International Competition of the Lago Film Fest. The film was selected as the best Iranian short documentary of the Year 2023 by Fidan, an Iranian short film magazine.
