Verdi Solaiman
After 10 years of studying and working in the Advertising field as a Creative Director in the USA, Verdi came home and fell in love with acting and studied it under the guidance of Eka D. Sitorus, Sakti Acting Studio, and also Margiae Haber Acting Studio. He started with “Jakarta Undercover” in 2006 as his big screen debut and has worked in more than 70+ movies and series ever since.
Jourdy Pranata
Jourdy Pranata is an actor, also known as a presenter and singer. Jourdy Pranata started his career in the acting world by playing in the film Aku, Kau & KUA in 2014. Then he acted in a number of films such as #TemanTapiMenikah2, One Night Stand, Kukira Kau Rumah, dan Pengabdi Setan 2: Communion.
Charles Gozali
Charles Gozali is a director and writer. He is also the co-founder of Magma Entertainment. Some of his works include Rasa (2009), Demi Dewi (2010), Finding Srimulat (2013), Nada Untuk Asa (2015), and Juara (2016). In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, he directed Buddy Ambyar (2021) with Bagus Bramanti. His latest film Qodrat (2022) will be released in October this year.
Hikmat Darmawan
Hikmat Darmawan is a critic, curator, and researcher in the field of popular culture specializing in comics, film, and literature. In 2010, he became a researcher for the Asian Public Intellectuals Fellowship Program. He is also a member of the Madani International Film Festival Board, 1st Deputy Chairperson of the Executive and a member of the Jakarta Arts Council Film Committee for the 2020-2023 period.
Ali Satri Efendi (moderator)
Ali Satri Efendi is a film lover and enthusiast. He is also in the management of Moviegoers Indonesia, Infoscreening. His short documentary Citarum and his experimental film Gelombang Longitudinal were screened at several film festivals. He also teaches at an institution and has written an anthology of short stories and an anthology of poetry.
Ellen YD Kim
Ellen KIM is a producer and festival programmer. She was the programmer of BIFAN from 2001 to 2004 and is back as a chief programmer from 2016 to the present. Her art-house production Flying Tiger Pictures, founded in 2001, has produced four films, including Cry Woman by LIU Bingjian, Hanaan by Ruslan PAK, and Sewing Sisters by Hyukrae LEE and Jungyoung KIM.
Nauval Yazid
Nauval Yazid graduated from the National University of Singapore, prior to his career at the Jakarta International Film Festival in 2006, until becoming a festival co-director in 2010. He was a judge in the short film category at the 2014 and 2015 Indonesian Film Festivals, and the programme director of the XXI Short Film Festival 2013-2016. Since 2018 he has been the co-director of Europe on Screen festival.
Ajish Dibyo
Experienced in filmmaking as a line producer and producer since 2001. #Republiktwitter, Soekarno, Kartini, Photocopier, and Write Me A Love Song are some of his works. Ajish Dibyo developed a creative space called Spasi Creative Space in 2018. In 2006, he joined Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival and in 2018 he became the executive director of JAFF.
Vivian Idris (moderator)
Vivian was involved in various film productions in Indonesia, including Pintu Terlarang, Radit & Jani, and Guru Rimba. In 2013, she founded the Blue Terong Initiative, focusing on documentary film production. In 2018, she was appointed as Program Director at the AKATARA Film Financing Forum.
Puri Anindita (moderator)
Puri began her career as a radio broadcaster and later anchor for Jawa Pos TV’s prime-time evening news. Her gig with Voice of America in Washington D.C brought her to cover President Barack Obama’s first inauguration. Paradox to the glitz and glam of the broadcast industry, Puri adopts a minimalist lifestyle and talks about her journey on @mencobaminimalis podcast under @box2boxid network
