Christine Hakim is an Indonesian actress, producer, and activist who has been active for over 50 years. She debuted in the movie “First Love” in 1973 and has since starred in more than 50 films from various eras, both nationally and internationally. Throughout her illustrious career, she has received 16 nominations and won 10 Indonesian Film Festival Citra Awards, as well as the Asia Pacific Producer Association Screen Award in 2010. She has also been honored with several awards from the Indonesian Government, including Satyalencana Wira Karya in 1999 and Bintang Budaya Parama Dharma in 2003, awards from the French Government in 1993 and 2003, and from the Japanese Government in 2015. In 2016, she was presented with the Lifetime Devotion to Film award at the Indonesian Film Festival.
